Kyle Sellett
Senior Partner of
Weiss-Kunz & Oliver
Kyle appreciates that an effective family law practitioner must be well versed in many areas of the law; a trait that he brings to WKO. Kyle brings a unique combination of professional experience and personal touch to his practice, with work experience in real estate transactions, probate, guardianship and estate planning. He is also keenly aware of the cost, time and stress these proceedings can place on families and he strives to arrive at practical solutions to fit a client’s needs as quickly as possible. Kyle handles a wide range of complex issues, including divorce, asset division, adoption, premarital agreements, modifications of parental responsibilities, maintenance, and child support in the context of both divorce and parentage matters. His practice extends across Cook, DuPage, and Will Counties.
Kyle earned his degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2015 and has been practicing family law since 2018. By 2020 he was named a Partner at his previous law firm due to his relentless dedication to his clients and co-workers alike. What drew him to the area of family law is his desire and dedication to helping individuals. He understands that the process of a divorce or parentage case can be stressful and mentally exhausting, and he takes each file as an opportunity to help a client open up a new chapter of their lives for themselves and their family members.
Kyle is able to effectively communicate with clients to determine not only their goals during litigation, but also help them to discover what they need to continue on after its completion. He understands that the relationship with his clients is a partnership and is committed to nurturing that relationship throughout the entire life of their file. He believes that settlement should always be an avenue that is explored. However, he understands that it may not always be a possibility and is well equipped with the skills necessary to take a case from the filing of the initial Petition to trial when necessary.
When not working or spending time with family, Kyle enjoys: golf, travel, and live music.
