Attorney Meghan M. Troc

Meghan M. Troc is an Associate Attorney at Weiss-Kunz & Oliver known for her zealous representation of her clients’ rights and strategic, yet compassionate approach to resolution of legal issues impacting children. A certified mediator, Meghan’s practice primarily focuses on family law and domestic relations matters including child support, maintenance, division of property, parental agreements, and relocation issues.

“Family law is a challenging area of law because there is a lot at stake. Everyone’s life is in limbo during divorce, including the lives of the parties and children. People often don’t know where they will live or if they will have to relocate. Knowing that families will have peace and finality to their case is the greatest reward. When my clients understand that I am advocating for them and their children, they know they will be well taken care of,” Meghan said.

Meghan Troc developed her litigation techniques and advocacy skills while following her passion for social justice issues in a clerkship with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in both the Felony Trial and Special Prosecution divisions under the administration of Anita Alvarez.

Meghan is proud to work at Weiss-Kunz & Oliver and finds personal satisfaction in knowing that her representation has a positive impact with each and every case and client. She is especially proud of her firm's commitment to their clients.

“We all take great pride on desired results and delivering exceptional customer service. My colleagues and I are very diligent about communication with clients, and at the end of the day, that makes a big difference for the client experience,” Meghan Troc said.

Meghan enjoys trying cases in the courtroom and has earned a reputation for being comfortable in that environment.

Outside the courtroom, Meghan has volunteered her time and raised funds through philanthropic events with a number of organizations dedicated to helping children, including Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Toys for Tots, a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserves, and Guardian Angel Community Services, which provides a number of programs including adult protective services as well as support for victims of sexual assault.

Meghan is the past Vice President of the Will County Women’s Bar Association, and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Will County Bar Association.

When Meghan isn’t working or volunteering you can find her spending quality time with her family and friends.

Meghan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (BA Communication, Minor, Gender & Women’s Studies) and received her JD from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
